This is Volume 5 in the series: Children of Violence. $2.50 (Canada) is the original price. 669 pages. Very tight binding except between pages 376-377. Light beige paper.
Front Cover: A triangular wrinkle/crease along the bottom of the right edge and middle of the right side. The bottom mark extends inward ½" and the right side mark is 1" long x ¼" - wide. A 1" wrinkle/crease is at the top Spine side plus there are a couple of minor, almost invisible scratches/ fingernail indents from book opening.
Spine: Three wrinkle/crease lines from book opening.
Back Cover: Small (1/8" and ¼") upturns are at the corners plus there are a couple of manufacturing lines.
In General: Pages 595, to the end of the book has very minor paper rolls along the top of the right edge (extending 1" inward) These are about 2¼" long. The bottom of the right corner edge is slightly upturned (1/8") for the first 50 pages. It's very minor.
Story: Fiction, based on Lessing's vision of the 1970's, extending into the post - World War 3 era.
