Spine: A bit crinkled from wear and it's torn at the top and bottom (¾"). A small (¼") piece is missing from the bottom.
In General: The Front and Back Covers are dull newsprint type, not the glossy ones of later years. I believe England had a currency shortage which kept things a bit austere for a few years which precluded buying quality newsprint.
This issue was mailed to Canada from England and has the original address and stamp on the back, dated 1945. 1½ Pennies to mail a book Overseas in those days! The upper right corner is bent (½" inward).
