Bloch, Robert Opener of the Way, The U.K. Neville Spearman. 1974 First Edition. Mint Minus. Fair to Good. Boorer, Reg - Cover. 1 Pound 95 original price. 309 pages. Original creamy white paper. Book is as new, with the exception that when printing the machine grabbed a very small portion within pages 23-27 and ripped it (probably 2-3" long x 1/3" wide). The tears get progressively smaller and everything is still there. The cutting of the top edge by the machine left a small creased portion near the very top. The jacket has a 3" rip along the portion folded under the front cover and a 2" rip along the fold of the back cover. There is some spotting along the spine edge, the back, and edges, plus a 3/4" x 1" portion of the lower right jacket is damaged. Price: 40.00 USD

Lower right, bottom of the front cover shows a very slight lightening of the blue binding cover (2" x 1/4" in area). Pages 294-309 have a small 1.32" light brownish dot of colour to the extreme outer edge, about 2" up. The bottom 2" of the edging is very slightly darker than the rest of the edging. The dust wrapper has a 2" x 3/4" piece of the surface missing on the back where water stuck two wrappers together, as there were two Mint copies but, for now, I'm keeping the second copy for myself. There's a 1/8" piece of surface paper missing on the front of the wrapper, bottom, right. It has about 3" times the wrapper width of scuffing on the back of the wrapper. The book has never been opened except for possibly 2" when I checked a few pages for content. Everything else is new, including the paper. Price is because of the exceptional condition, despite the markings. A book of his short stories. He's a very good author. Price: 60.00 USD
