Somewhat light beige paper. A tight binding. Yellow colouring to the edges. Green front cover, while the earlier First editions had a black cover. There's some slight edge wear to the front cover and a bit to the top, and bottom, of the back cover. There are two, small 1/4" rips beside the right and left sides of the spine where it meets the covers. A bit of wear along the spine side on the front cover. Pages 39-61 have a very small portion of the lower right corner water-marked to an average depth of about 1/2". There are a few indents on the back cover. Beige paper, slightly darker at the edges (1/2"). Red colouring to the edges. Very tight copy. The front cover has several creases, in an irregular pattern, at the upper right, and lower right corners, extending inward about 1/2" at the top and 2" at the bottom. There's a rip at the spine edge, back cover, as well as general edge wear on the front, and back, and a bit of scuffing on the covers. There's a bit of creasing to the corners of some of the pages. Beige paper, slightly darker around the edges (1/2"). Yellow colouring to the edges. Very tight binding. The front cover has a tiny upturn at the upper right edge (about 1/4") and a small 1/2" wrinkle, about the middle of the right edge where someone opened the cover. There's a faint, white line beside the spine where the cover was opened and very, very minimal edge wear along the outer edges. There are a couple of minor rubs, but nothing much. The back cover has a partial bottle ring and a few small indents, as if a pencil were pressed into the cover. There's a small 1/2" indent along the middle of the book, beside the spine, and very minimal edge wear along the top and bottom edges. A name is written, in ink, at the top of the first page. | 5. | Kemelman, Harry Monday the Rabbi Took Off U.S. Fawcett Crest. 1973 First Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. February, 1973. $1.25 original price. 288 pages. Very tight binding. Medium beige, but turning to a darker tan at the outside edges (about 1" top and bottom, 3/4" right side). Upper right corner has a triangular crease extending about 1/2" inward. Bottom, right corner has a similar crease extending about 1 1/4" inward. A few low sheen scratches. The spine is wrinkled from book opening. The back cover has upper and lower wrinkle/creases at the two corners, extending about 3/4" inward at the bottom and 2 1/2" at the top. The paper is gently rippled at the bottom, extending inward for about 3" and the back cover has a bit of red ink run and rippling from water. About the last 4-5 pages are a bit rippled which allows one to see how water touched the book. There's a small amount of edgewear on the front edges and bottom of the back cover. The author always writes well and Rabbi Small usually gives us some tips on Jewish protocol at the Synogogue, along with solving things, this time in Israel. A good author. No date is mentioned, but the Copyright is 1978. $2.50 original price. 316 pages, plus book advertising at the back of the book. Medium beige paper. Tight binding. One straight line crease on the spine where the book was opened. Name, in ink, on the first page, top. Lower 2" of the bottom, right edge had a couple of drops of water touch it and went inside, causing a slight rippling, in a triangular pattern, extending inward for about 2" and touching the last 6 pages. No date mentioned, but after February, 1977, which is the latest date mentioned. $1.95 original price. 288 pages. Very tight copy. Medium beige paper, a bit darker at the edges (1/2"). First page has a triangular cut from the upper right corner. Two partial straight line creases at the extreme edges of the top and bottom sides of the front cover. Minor edgewear around the front cover and along the spine edge where the cover joins the spine. A very small 1/8" x 2" light stain at the bottom of the back cover and an irregular stain along the surface edge for 1/4" x 2".
