Drury, ALlen Promise of Joy, The Canada. Avon. 1976 Mass Market Paperback. Fair Plus Reading Copy. February, 1976. $1.95 original price. 501 pages, plus one page of book advertising. Light beige paper, slightly darker around the edges (3/4"). Tight binding, but split at pages 114-5 and opens readily at pages 210-211 and 368-9. Front cover has several creases at the upper right corner, middle of the right side and at the bottom, right corner, plus a crease by the spine, where the book was first opened. The spine has numerous creases and the back cover a fair number of tiny scratches. The front cover aso has a fair number of scratch marks and a few indents. Page 429 is folded as a book mark and one other page has a small corner turned down for the same purpose. The front cover has edgewear along the three sides and the print on the spine is worn. There are a couple of names written at the top of the first page and the upper right and lower right corners have several pages which are slightly turned (about 1/8"). The book is worn This is the final book (as of the printing of this volume) in a series of "What if"scnarios, which assume certain nations do certain things and what the outcome will be to the U.S.if they do.
