Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. December, 1961. $.50 original price. 224 pages. Very tight binding. Medium beige paper. Green colouring to the edging. Front Cover: 4-5 very light finger marks, or bends, but they're very minor. A 1" wrinkle/crease at the top, middle, where someone almost, but didn't, bend the book. Edge wear along the right edge. Spine: Minor edge wear at the top and bottom edges. Back Cover: Handling marks by the left side of the book, extending inward about 3", plus some light edge wear at the left, and bottom edges. In General: Small portions of the right edge were touched by water (1/4" wide) in 5 spots, extending into the book about 1/8". The most is at the bottom, right edge, where it went in about 1", in a triangular pattern and slightly rolled the paper. Story: A collection of short stories by some good Authors, including: William Hope Hodgson, Margaret St. Clair, Saki, et al. June, 1972. $.75 original price. 212 pages. Light beige paper. A scarce book, but a Reading Copy only. Front Cover: 3 pieces of the surface are missing. One is 1/4" x 1/2". The second is 1/2", tapering down to 1/4", widthwise, on the cover. The third is 1/2" x 1 1/2" and at the top of the cover. There's a tear at the spine side, about 1" wide, at the middle portion of the cover. Spine: A 1 1/2" tear at the top portion, plus the other tear I mentioned, which extends onto the cover. There's also a bit of other surface tearing on the spine. Back Cover: Half the cover surface is missing. In General: Loose pages. The back of both covers has some light grey ink run. There is some page rippling, mostly very gentle, except for the last few pages, which have a 1/4" x 3" sort of channel. The green colour on the edging is faded. Story: 14 short stories of murder and terror. This is the First Book Publication and not many copies are floating around, all, seemingly damaged. Strange. March, 1971. $.75 original price. 208 pages. Very tight copy. Very light beige paper, just slightly becoming darker at the edges. Bluish colouring to the edging. There's a crease on the front cover, about 1/2" from the corner, and 2 minor, small creases (1" and 1/2") toward the bottom of the front cover. A small, 1" crease is on the back cover where the book was opened. A very small, 1/4" indent is at the top of the back cover, but it's minor. A very small amount of edge scuff at the bottom of the covers, but nothing to worry about. A small, 1/4" rip at the bottom of the spine, by the rear cover. February, 1972. 205 pages, plus advertising and a Hitchcock Bibliography. $.75 original price. Very tight binding. Light beige paper. Green colouring to the edging. 4-5 pages at the front have a very slight fold and fold marks at the upper right and lower right corners. The front cover has creasing at the top (about 1/2") and bottom (about 11/2") corners, plus some slight creasing to the top of the cover, by the spine. A couple of wrinkles to the back cover, including one where someone carelessly opened the book. There are real, working blueprints of a Time Machine, penned into the back cover. (Just joking). April, 1971. $.75 original price. 205 pages, plus advertising at the back of the book. Very light tan paper, slightly darker at the bottom 1/2". Very tight copy. Bluish colouring to the edging. There's a slight fold mark on the front and back covers, by the spine, where the book was opened. 3 straight production lines on the front cover where machinery handled the book. A tiny bit of edge scuffing at the bottom and some at the top, right corner (for about 1/2"), plus 4 slight wear marks (about 1/8") on the edges of the back cover.
