Satan Was a Man, Bierstadt. Edward Hale
1 Bierstadt. Edward Hale Satan Was a Man
Canada. Popular Library.(Eagle Books). #EB 16. First Popular Library Eagle Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Fine Plus despite the Initial.
May, 1954. $.35 is the original price. 144 pages which also contains the Author's short Post Script. Light medium beige paper. Tight binding. Green colour on the edges with a yellow tone at the top edge, possibly from being touched by water at that spot.
Front Cover: The usual light line from book opening's by the Spine and two or three very small bits of wear are at the bottom edge. A previous Owner scratched a small letter "A" on the Cover. A dumb thing to do.
Spine: Possibly very lightly touched by water but it's not evident by looking inside the book.
Back Cover: Minor bits of wear are at the bottom edge. Nothing much. Possibly a different printing process was used with this book because the Covers are in very nice condition for its age.
Story: A man's obsessed with Jack the Ripper. This book's not what you think it's about and I admit to being fooled by it. The Author's written a very, very good Story and it's not what you think it's about 004662
