Love Experiences
1 Love Experiences
Canada. Ace Pub. Co. Comic Book. Good. Water Touched.
$.10 is the original price. A reasonably tight binding.
Front Cover: Light rolls down the middle possibly from how the Comic was once carried. Ink bleed's at the staples and there's a 1" x " rounded piece of Cover which's torn at the right edge.
Back Cover: A 1" x " piece of Cover's missing at the top left and dark ink bleed's at the staple side along with pink bleed on the Cover.
In General: The first page has the same tear as mentioned as being on the Front Cover. The pages are lightly rolled at the middle and there are small bits of light ink and pink colour bleed, here-and-there. It's minor, but still...(I wonder what the dynamics are that cause ink to drift toward staples and to form in rounded bits, etc. Possibly something to do with polar attractions, I suppose.) Dark brown ink bleed's at both staples and a couple of minor " rolls are at the bottom edge.
Story: Branded a Cheat, three other Stories and a two-pager about choosing makeup and perfumes. The illustrations are not too bad and the Stories are good with everything always coming out perfectly lovey-dovey in the end even when it's murder. Which surprised me...murder, with a happy ending? 002776

In General: A 1" tear's at the top of page nineteen, a few initials in ink are on the inside of the Front Cover and at the top of the first page. Page 177 has a folded corner as a bookmark and the mark continues for a few pages on either side along with a " tear at the Spine side on the Advertising page. 1/8" upturns are at the top right corner for a few pages before ending. Twelfth Physician, The, Gibbs, Willa

U.S. Ace Book, Inc. 1954 #K-143. First Ace Books Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good Minus.
$.50 is the original price. Medium beige paper. Tight binding. 271 pages plus some Advertising. Yellow colour on the edges.
Front Cover: Several creases, handling marks and fingernail indents from handling the book.
Spine: A couple of bumps on the left and right edges so possibly not bound tightly.
Back Cover: A couple of booklength creases and two other 3" ones which are probably due to careless book opening. Some pages at the beginning of the book are darker than the rest of the book so possibly some water touched here.
In General: A previous Owner wrote very small initials at the top right of the first page. Nothing much, though.
Story: Hmm. The Plot sounds familiar, somehow. French Revolutionary Time, Innocent Doctor betrayed and exiled to a Penal Colony. Revenge. Love. Note" Everyone keeps listing the book as a "1961" but my copy says only "1954". So? 004760

Canada/U.S. Signet (NAL) Book. #451-05619. Second Signet (NAL) Can. Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Fair - Gd. Water Tchd.
September, 1973. $.95 is the original price. 158 pages. Tight binding. Medium beige paper. Tight binding. Yellow on the edges. Translator: Ferris, Anthony Rizcallah.
In General: Some water spots are on the first couple of pages and on some of the back pages but they're nothing much. Some indents and creases on both Covers and the usual one on the Spine from book opening. The book's been handled as some people like Gibran for his Romanticism and Philosophy. When I was younger it used to be Gibran for poetry and Philosophy and Leonard Cohen for music. 004907

Spine: Three creases as this is a thick book. There's the usual small marks indicating water lightly touched here. Nothing much.
Back Cover: Manufacturing lines. The usual.
Story: Adventure and love in Afghanistan. Browsing the book it sometimes seems that the men are more in love with their horses than anything else. Made into a movie with Omar Sharif and others. The book reads well once you get used to the strange names. Recommended. 005001

$35.95 (Can) is the original price. White paper. 335 pages with Acknowledgments and an Index. Tight binding. White Covers with ochre Spine and gold lettering.
Story: The description on the front Cover describes it all. While a person still continues to live as a Soul after physical death it's still sad to read this book. It reads well and honestly. Love can sometimes very briefly bring back a Soul to show this and to share this love. It's a wonderful, warm feeling when it happens. I know. 004575
