Story: An Analysis of Sherlock Holmes' methodology and some of the Cases he worked on. An interesting book I'm tempted to keep as it's a Scholarly work. 004914

Front Cover: A light crease's at the bottom right corner and a bit of light wear's at the bottom edge. A white spot's at the bottom corner where the sticker was partially removed but it's nothing much.
Spine: a couple of faint creases from book opening.
Back Cover: A faint 3" vertical crease's beside the Spine at the top plus a couple of minor marks are on the Cover. Nothing much.
In General: A previous Owner's name's on the first and last pages and a date's at the top of the inside of the Back Cover.

Story: This is a Peter Wimsey Novel set in a University atmosphere. Someone's sending Poison Pen letters about why women shouldn't be allowed to abandon their Husbands, etc. to try to obtain a Degree and enter the Work Force. Soon Wimsey's called in to help figure out who's writing these letters as things are beginning to become serious.
Women were just then beginning to try to assert themselves as "People" with Professions, etc. as we were then entering a new phase in Societal development. In my Province, for example, women had been considered as "Non People" until some Sufragettes demanded equality, and got it as we were the first Province in Canada to pass into Law that women were actually Human beings!!! Such arrogance on the part of Men. 004695
