1 Arthur, Robert Mystery of the Green Ghost, The
U.S. Scholastic Books. #TX 1916. First Scholastic Books Edition. Mass Mkt. 5" x 8" Pocketbook Very Good Minus. Art: Kane, Harry.
September, 1971. No price's indicated. 181 pages. Light beige paper. Tight binding. Yellow on the edges.
Front Cover: A 3" creased corner's at the bottom, right, along with a smaller one under it. The top right corner has a " creased corner as well. Several others are on the Cover itself but they're not too much.
Spine: Slight wear's at the bottom edge but it's very small.
Back Cover: Several fingernail indents from holding the book and a couple of small creases are at the bottom, left corner and bottom edge. Some light wear's on the edges of both Covers. Again, nothing much.
In General: The first couple of pages have the same indents as are on the Front Cover as the marks travelled. Pages 145 and 147 have a 1" tear at the left edge but it's reasonable.
Story: A green ghost howls and a coffin contains a skeleton with a string of pearls around its neck. Something for The Three Investigators to examine. The book seems to read well. Scholastic usually publishes good books. 005017

Wrapper: Embossed lettering at the top. Water touched the upper 4" leaving some bumpiness and a small bit of blue colour on the Spine side at the top.
In General: Water lightly touched the upper 3" of the book's Front Cover and Spine at the top left edge. Water also touched the top left corner of the pages at the back of the book for 2" x 1" with some of the colour transferring to the last Fly Page at the back of the book. One page at the front of the book has a very slight touch of wine colour. Wine End Papers. The inside of the Wrapper has some colour which transferred to it from the book when water touched.
Story: Short Stories which detail the fictional history of Moose County. There are several dozen previous Titles this Author wrote listed at the front. The book would have been listed as "Mint" if it hadn't been for the small amount of water, for which I thank my City for screwing up so badly when renewing the water line on the street and damaging so much of my Stock which was in good condition before they got their grubby mitts on them with their water. Bunch of bumblers. 004574
