In General: the usual crease's down the middle from book opening plus one page's folded as a bookmark which left an indent on a couple of pages beside it. The edges of the insides of both Covers is very faintly beige from age.
Story: Subs bringing war material and people to, or from danger zones to help in the fight against the Japanese during World War 2. 004533

In General: A previous Owner stamped their name on the back of the Front Cover and it faintly bled to the next page as the ink wasn't quite dry when they closed the Cover. Two lines are at the top edge which indicates that this book was returned to the Distributor.
Story: Describing some of the action seen by the PT boats. These were ships made of plywood and built for speed but equipped with a machine gun and torpedo tubes. President Kennedy also wrote a book about his own experiences as Skipper of a PT boat which was cut in two by a Japanese destroyer. 004895

In General: A previous Owner erased their name from the top of the first page but the imprint's still there.
Story: The Author based this book on a true happening in which the Japanese marched to death eighty Dutch women they captured in Sumatra during World War 2. The Commandant didn't want them hanging around where he was stationed so that was his solution. At war's end only thirty were still alive. 004433
