Orphans of the Sky, Heinlein, Robert
3 Heinlein, Robert Orphans of the Sky
Canada/U.S. Signet (NAL) Book. #D2618. First Signet (NAL ) Ed. Mass Market Paperback. Good. Water Tchd.
April, 1966. $.50 is the original price. 128 pages. Light beige paper. Red on the edges but somewhat washed-out on the right and more so on the bottom edge.
In General: The book has a couple of creases on the Front Cover and a 4" one on the Back Cover. It's still a straight copy but shows ripples from water touching it and the Spine has little marks from water. A great pity as this must have once been a Mint copy.
Story: Inhabitants from Earth live on a five-mile long Space Ship with no knowledge of why they are on the ship or of Earth. It's interesting to think about as some of our own Astronauts discovered a mile-long Alien Spacship that had crashed on our Moon thousands of years ago and they filmed the thing on one of the Moon trips NASA says never happened (They lie) although NASA won't show the film except they leak out parts of their film in little bits and pieces and won't admit it's their film.
Some of our Science fiction Writers are really good at thinking about things and sometimes I wonder if they're experiencing Past Memories from other times as they can be so damn accurate in what they write. Others....way off the mark. 005056

Puppet Masters The, Heinlein, Robert A.
9 Heinlein, Robert A. Puppet Masters The
Canada. A Signet (NAL) Book. #980. First Signet (NAL) Ed. Mass Market Paperback. Fine. Water Tchd.
August, 1958. $.35 is the original price. 175 pages plus Advertising. Medium beige paper. Tight binding. Red on the edges.
Front Cover: A " of small bits of the Cover are missing at the top edge. A 3" vertical light crease's at the bottom, by the Spine side and there' s a couple of small and light ones elsewhere. Nothing much, though.
Spine: Some very light wrinkles from water are on the Spine. Again. Nothing much.
Back Cover: An indent's at the top and bottom edges where other paperbacks were probably stacked and there's a very small bit of lighter colour at the very top edge.
In General: The top right corner's slightly bent from probably pressing against the box when packed.
Story: Aliens attach themselves to Humans and take over control of their bodies. The Cover painting's interesting as sometimes when you watch some of the videos of crashed Saucers being recovered by the U.S., Russians and others this is about how they look except their ships only bend and don't crack open as they have superior "memory" metal tech. You'd think that with their superior technology they'd learn how to better fly their machines when invading our Planet, especially after the thousands of years they've been around. Slow Learners, I guess. Give us the technology and then let's teach them who's the Boss and make them ask for our permission before they just fly into our atmosphere. Very rude and arrogant of them. For now, we"ll keep our mouths shut but we'll still think it. Arrogant snots. 004883
