Trevanian Eiger Sanction, The U.S. Avon Books. 1973 #380-15404. First Avon Books Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good Minus. Water Touched September, 1973. $1.75 is the original price.150 pages, plus some book advertising at the back of the book. Reasonably tight binding. Light beige paper, turning just a shade slightly darker. Front Cover: A 3 1/2" high x 1 1/2" wide piece of cover surface is missing, as well as about 1/4" at the bottom edge. The usual crease line at the Spine, from book opening, plus about 1/8" of pink colour bleed is around the edges. There's also a 1/4" piece of cover surface missing at the top edge, close to the Spine side. There's a slanted wrinkle/crease line, from the top of the Spine, left, downards (3"). Spine: 3 wrinkle/crease lines, from book opening, plus some light rippling, from water. Back Cover: A dot indent is at the top third, middle, and there's light edge wear at the bottom edge. In General: Ink bleed at the top third of the inside, Front Cover, and for the first six pages, after which it's mostly gone, except for a bit at the top, here-and-there. There's light rolling at the right edge, extending inward (3/4" - 2"), and some light pinkish colour bleed around the edges of the pages. Pages 119-156 have a small, 1/4" indent/ roll at the top, right corner. Story: A C.I.A. Operative has to go on a mountain climbing expedition with some other people and use this as an excuse to knock off one of them, making it look like an accident.
