$.95 is the original price. 247 pages, plus a brief Biography of the Author, at the back of the book. Original, very light beige paper, with a bare indication of beginning to turn slightly darker.
Front Cover: The usual white line crease at the Spine side, from book opening, plus a small, 1/8" upturned top, right corner. A light amount of edge wear, mostly at the bottom edge (as this is a black Cover), and there's about 2" of light surface lifting at the top, due to another book being remeoved. (See: Cover Scan).
Spine: 4 line creases, from book opening, plus some edge wear at the top and bottom edges.
Back Cover: Some light Cover surface removal is at the top 3", and about 1/2" of Cover surface is removed at the top edge, getting smaller, the closer one gets to the Spine side, from the left edge. There's a small bit of edge wear at the bottom edge, and some light specks, here-and-there, on the Cover, itself.
Story: If you saw the movie, you know it's a creepy story. Matheson is a good Author. 002439

October, 1964. $.50 is the original price. 192 pages. Tight binding but opens easily between pages 120-123. Medium beige paper. Green colour on the edges.
Front Cover: 7-8 fingernail indents from opening the book. A 1/8" upturn is at the top of the right corner and there's come minor edge wear around the left, right, and bottom edges.
Spine: ½" tears are at the bottom of both sides plus there's minor edge wear around the edges.
Back Cover: A triangular crease is at the top of the left corner and there are three small indents/marks which extend into the last three pages of the book. A small bit of scuffing is at the middle.
In General: Pages 41-46 have a slight bend at the top of the right corner (extending inward ¼"). Pages 179-184 and page 187 have corner folds.
