U.S. #440-06853. $1.25 is the original price. 831 pages, which includes a Bibliography, an Index, and some book advertising at the back of the book. Tight binding. Green colour on the edging.
Front Cover: 4-5 wrinkle/creases are at the upper third of the Cover (about 1", to 1 1/2" long, each), plus there's a cut mid-way, beside the Spine.
Spine: 3-4 wrinkle/crease lines from book opening.
Back Cover: 2 wrinkle/creases from book opening are at the middle (about 1" long, each).
In General: Water touched the right edge (extending inward, about 3") and at the bottom edge (the same). About 2/3's of the green colour is faded/missing at the bottom edge and in a triangular area on the right edge (to about 2/3's of the way up, tapering to nothing, about 2" from the top, right). The pages sre very slightly rolled at the right edge (extending inward, about 3") and the same at the bottom, beside the Spine, extending upwards. A faint bit of colour bleed is at the edges of some of the pages. The inside of the Back Cover has mild water marking, or light greenish colour bleed in spots.
Story: Patton's biography. It reads rather well. The story of an impatient man who didn't care too much for doing things the conventional way. The Cover has a photo of George C. Scott, who acted the part in the movie. 001097

U.S. November, 1970. #440-06853. $1.25 is the original price. Reasonably-tight binding. 831 pages which includes: Acknowledgments, a Selected Bibliography of Patton's Writings, a Bibliography and a page of book advertising. Mostly light medium beige paper. It's dark beige at page 339-340 (where water dried). It gradually lightens from there in both directions after a few pages although there are still various darker medium beige sections, here-and-there.
Front Cover: The Cover stuck to another book at the right edge so I removed the damaged portions and made a new underlay Cover for it which you can see on the Cover scan.
Spine: Split, but I reinforced it and reglued the Spine so the book's about in the condition it orginally was when issued (for strength).
Back Cover: A little ballpoint oval speech balloon is drawn at the top of the Cover plus there are three small (1/16") scuffs at the top, right corner. Nothing much, though.
In General: Darker beige and with a bit of water indenting/marking up to about page 15. Pages 477-479 have a double corner crease at the bottom, right (extending inward 1"). Light rolls at the right edge (extending inward ½").
Story: A Biography of Patton, General of the Third U.S. in World War 2. He applied Guderian's Blitzkreig tactics but I think he was held up by our catering too much to Montgomery and the Soviets. 003415
