U.S. Dell Books. 1954 #29. A True First Book Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Mint Minus. Cover: McDermott, John.
U.S. #29. 1954 is the only Copyright date mentioned. Dell states this to be the First publication and an original novel. $.35 is the price. Very tight binding. 191 pages, plus some blurbs (advertising) at the back of the book as to why Dell is publishing original Firsts. Medium beige paper. Red colour on the edges. Cover Art: McDermott, John.
Front Cover: A 1/8" slight crease at the bottom, right corner, and a faint wrinkle/crease outline from book opening beside the Spine. A couple of very light bits of edge wear are at the Spine side, bottom edge.
Spine: Light edge wear at the bottom and top edges.
Back Cover: A 1/4" triangular creased corner is at the bottom, left.
Story: A KZ lager (Concentration Camp) survivor survives the war and goes States - side where he encounters his Nazi jailor. The Author apparently spent a lot of time speaking with a survivor from The Warsaw Ghetto, basing his book on some of what was told to him. 001585
