October, 1965. $.50 is the original price. 152 pages plus book advertising. Very tight binding but opens easily between pages 4-5. Medium beige paper, slightly darker around the edges (¾").Yellow colour on the edges.
Front Cover: A ¼" tear and a 1" semi-cicular wrinkle/crease are beside the bottom left edge. An 1/8" - wide x ½" long Cover wedgie is at the top left. A triangular wrinkle/crease (extending inward ¾") is at the top right corner and the impression extends for a couple of pages into the book. Some edge wear around the edges.
Spine: A couple of wrinkle/creases from book opening are at the middle. Edge wear is around the edges.
Back Cover: A ¼" - wide x 1" bit at the top left edge is slightly pushed - in. (The last page also has this same mark). A triangular wrinkle/crease (extending inward 2") is at the bottom left corner. Some edge wear around the edges.
Story: Everyone must know this one, but it's about discovering a giant ape living on an Island and bringing him back to New York. The original story is by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper. 001017

$1.95 is the original price. 219 pages. Very tight binding. Light, to medium beige paper. Light yellow colour on the edges. Contains: Drawings which illustrate various dramatic episodes from the movie.
Front Cover: 4-5 fingernail indents from book opening are at the middle.The usual wrinkle/crease from book opening. A bit of edge wear at the top and bottom edges, but mostly at the bottom.
Spine: Two wrinkle/creases from book opening.
Back Cover: Two triangular wrinkle/creases at the top left corner (extending inward ¼" and ½"). Two fingernail indents/creases from book opening are also at the left edge. A bit of light edge wear is at the bottom edge.
In General: Some of the pages at the back of the book appear as if water touched portions of them (page 113, and up. A triangular area at the top right corner (extending inward 1") and along the right edge, from page 182 + (extending vertically inward ½" x 4"). But there are no water line/rippling indications).
Story: A giant gorilla is captured. This print edition is superior to the Bantam Books edition and has more old-time flavor, especially with the illustrations. 001018

Front Cover: A line crease from book opening is beside the Spine. A 1/4" bump is at the Spine side, top. There's some edge wear at the edges and a 1/8" wide x 1/2" long crease is at the right edge, middle. Some scuffs and scratches/scrapes are on the Cover surface as well as a couple of fingernail indents.
Spine: Edge wear at the edges.
Back Cover: 2-3 fingernail indents from book opening and some scuff marks. Some edge wear is at the edges.
In General: The scuff marks on the Covers look almost like fluffy, small clouds. Strange things. Page 21 has a small (1/4") tear/fold at the upper right corner.
