$.75 is the original price. 192 pages. Tight binding. Original light beige paper. Red colour to the edging, but slightly washed away in two spots at the top and bottom edges.
Front Cover: 5 very small, 1/8" indents and one crease, 1/2" long.
Spine: Bowed, from water.
Back Cover: A bit of very light blue and pink colour is at the very bottom edge, plus water marks (about 1" high). There are some water marks along the left edge, also, but they're nothing much. A few marks are at the top where another book lightly stuck to this Cover.
In General: There's a slight upward bend at the top page corners and the book has a slant to one side, due to the way the Spine is bowed. Pity, as the book would have been Mint, otherwise.
Story: As the Title says. The Devil corresponds with God about their differences. It's a well thought-out bit of writing by a good Author. 002510

U.K. $2.25 (Canada) is the original price. 668 pages, plus some book advertising. Mostly a tight binding but the book's pages are not centered from page 353+. Light beige paper.
Front Cover: A triangular creased corner (extending inward 1/8") is at the top, right. A slanted wrinkle-crease is at the bottom third (6" long) and a smaller (2") one is beside it. The bottom, right corner also has a small (1/32") creased corner.
Spine: 2 wrinkle/creases from book opening. The Spine's bowed.
Back Cover: A 3" crease is at the bottom third. The Cover's a bit dull, probably from water (?).
In General: The first three pages have a triangular piece missing at the top, right. Horizontal rolls are in the interior of the book, but it's still flexible to open. The page right edges are lightly rolled (extending inward 1/2").
Story: The lives of two families during the 1800's. Caldwell is a a good Author. 003164

Canada. #511-02245. July, 1970. $.95 is the original price. 446 pages, plus book advertising at the back of the book. Tight binding, but a bit loose between pages 80 - 81, 134-143, 360-361. Faded green colour on the edging.
Front Cover A few very light, almost invisible fingernail marks, transfer scribbles, and manufacturing lines. A crease from book opening. A bit of light edge wear in two places at the bottom edge.
Spine: 4 wrinkle/crease lines from book opening. Some edge wear along the edges.
Back Cover: A few very light, almost invisible, fingernail marks at the middle of the Cover. A light book crease from book opening is beside the Spine.
In General: Water touched at the Spine side leaving some light roll marks and loosening of the glue. I think it also touched along the bottom, right corner (extending into the book about 3"). There's an old price, in pen, at the top of the first page.
Story: A family lets nothing stand in their way for and wealth, not even the family, itself. 001240

Canada/U.S. #449-02562. $1.95 is the original price. Reasonably tight binding, but opens easily between pages 108-115 and 358-359. Original light beige paper, barely beginning to turn a bit darker at the edges. Yellow colour on the edges.
Front Cover: A 1/1/4" - wide triangular wrinkle/creased corner is at the top, right and there's a 2" long x 1/16" - wide bend at the same top edge. An 1/8" tear is at the top, Spine side, and a there are a couple of small (1/2") light creases. A 1/4" tear at the bottom, Spine side, and there's about 2" of light edge wear also at the bottom edge at the same spot.
Spine: 3 wrinkle/creases from book opening plus a slight bit of edge wear at the top edge and a small (1/8") tear at the bottom, left Spine side.
Back Cover: A 1" light crease plus several light fingernail indents.
In General: A name is nicely written at the top of the first page.
Story: An historical novel about Pericles, Athenian Ruler. (The Greeks were still a group of Greek City-States with various philosphies as how to rule/live. The Romans would soon take over as they were a unified country with a single purpose. Caldwell is usually a good Writer. 003382

Marc h, 1976. $1.75 is the original price. Tight binding. 269 pages plus some book advertising. Original near-white paper, barely beginning to slightly turn light beige at the edges.
Front Cover: A 2" vertical wrinkle/crease beside the Spine, middle, plus 4-5 other small indents, but nothing much. There's an 1/8" corner crease at the bottom, right, and a small (1/32") upturn at the very top edge. Again, it's nothing much. A small piece of masking tape was at the top, right corner but I removed it to prevent the Cover from sticking to other books. The outline can be seen, though.
Spine: A 1" tear is at the right edge, bottom, and some very small edge wear is at the top and bottom edges.
Back Cover: A 1" semi-circular light crease is at te top and there's an 1/8" corner crease at the top, left. A few small specks of dirt, here-and-there, but they're minor.
