Hitchcock, Captain F.C. "Stand To" A Diary of the Trenches 1915-1918 U.K. Hurst & Blackett, Ltd. 1965 Second Edition Stated. Hard Cover with Wraps. Mint Minus. Wrapper: Mint. Blue boards with wine rectangle and bright gilt print on the Spine. The edging is bluish speckled. Very tight binding. Original colour creamy-white paper. 358 pages, which includes: Appendicies, and an Index at the back of the book. There are also 16 numbered pages of book advertising. Wrapper: Pink, protected by a plastic wrapper which is NOT pasted down. Contains: Illustrations of trenches, positions, primitive first gas mask protection (handkerchiefs), various grenades, plus many sepia-tone photos. In General: Page 18 has what might be a thumb print, while Page 16, of the book's advertising appears to have a water splash along the outer left side of the page (about 1/2" wide, at it's largest).
