U.K. #456. 1961 is the last stated Copyright date. 3 Shillings, 6 Pence is the original price. 317 pages. Tight binding. Darker beige paper, turning light tan at the edges (1" at the top and bottom, 1/2" at the right edge.)
Front Cover: An old book store stamp is on the front. A light wrinkle/crease line from book opening is beside the Spine. A creased corner is at the bottom, right (extending inward 3/4"). A few very small indents, etc., here-and there, plus some light edge wear at the edges.
Spine: A fold/crease from book opening is at the middle and there's some edge wear along the edges.
Back Cover: A couple of light beige water stain marks are at the top, right corner, and bottom, left. There's also a very small bit of pink colour at the top edge of both corners.
In General: An old book store stamp, in blue, and a written telephone number is on the first page. A few pages have a small upturn at the bottom, right corner.
Story: Local people are being used as forced workers to mine copper to enrich a nasty type who plans on using the money to take over other Democracies, including the U.S., which he despises. 001270

U.K. $.60 is the original price. 237 pages plus some book advertising. Tight binding. Light beige paper. Cover Art: Russ, Stephen.
Front Cover: Two 2" slanted creases are at the Spine side and there's a roll just under the Title.
Spine: A 1" piece of Cover is missing at the bottom. There's a 1" tear at the top, left, and a small bit of edge wear at the top edge.
Back Cover: A bit of light ink bleed is on either side of Buchan's picture and a water outline can be seen at the book's edges (extending inward 1 1/2" on all sides.
In General: The usual pan-shaped indent and rolling at the central part of the book which tends to make it a bit stiff. Bending the book back and forth loosens it up and removes some of the stiiffness and rolling. 4-5 pages have some very light ink bleed. Page 65 has a double crease at the top, right, and a couple of others have very small creases at the bottom, right corner, but they're very minor things.
Story: Intrigue in a mythical country with one Faction wanting to bring back a Prince to rule them. 003160

In General: Water touched the Covers leaving a dulled area for 2/3 of the Front Cover, 2" of the bottom of the Spine side and a somewhat spotted effect on the Back Cover. There's a small bit of edge wear along the bottom edge of the Back Cover and the bottom of the Spine (about 1/16" high). A name is written on the inside of the Frontispiece and there's a paper (only) separation at the Spine side of the Title page and the opposite illustrated page. The bottom of the pages have a very slight roll (extending inward, 1").

Front Cover: Gum residue from a price sticker is at the bottom, right corner. There are 3-4 very light bends/creases at the Spine side, plus a bottle mark.
Back Cover: A 3/4" light, curved crease is at the top edge and 3-4 light creases are at the Spine side. There are several bottle ring outlines, as well. The bottle ring owner of this book didn't seem to play favourites.
Story: Adventures, taking place in 17th Century Virginia. 002500
