15 Asimov, Isaac Pebble in the Sky
U.S. Doubleday & Co. (Garden City). 1950 Hard Cover. Good. Water Touched.
U.S. Green boards with yellow print on the Spine and a beige pattern on the Front Cover. 223 pages. Tight binding. Medium beige paper.
In General: A Library pocket has been removed from the inside, Front Cover, and a Library stamping slip was removed from the Title page. A book number is at the top, inside, Front Cover, and also on the Title page. There's also a square date stamp when the book was added to the Librrary.
Various pages have tears at the corners and margins from being separatedhandled a bit roughly. There are a fair number of upper right page corners which have small pieces of invisible mending tape which, by the way has held up very nicely. .
There are various brownish brown water spots on different pages, here-and-there. There are also some light dirt smudges, here-and-there on some pages. Page 44 has a 4" long vertical piece of taping where the page was ripped, but the tape used was the Scotch tape so, of course it turned brownish and the mark slightly transferred to the next page. Lastly, there's a very small red scribble (3/4" x 1/2") on page 123. The Covers appear to have been given a protective coating as this is how Library books used to be handled, before Mylar. This isn't the true First Edition. The book probably saw a lot of use as it was a popular book.
Story: A nuclear explosion sends a Jewish tailor into Earth's future. Originally, this story was published in Startling Stories as, Grow Old With me. Expanded, and renamed by Asimov. 002692

16 Asimov, Isaac Second Foundation
Avon Book Co. 1968 #S237. Fifth Avon Books Edition. Mass Market Paperback. About Gg. Plus. Water Tchd.
March, 1968. $.60 is the original price. Tight binding. Light beige paper. 191 pages plus some book advertising. Red colour on the edges with some water spots, here-and-there.
Front Cover: A triple creased corner at the top right (extending inward ¼", 1" and 1¾") and a ½" creased corner at the bottom right. A couple of spots and small fingernail indents plus a small bit of vertical wrinkle/creasing at the Spine side. A mark indicates that there was once a price sticker at the top left corner.
Spine: Water wrinkled. I reglued and reinforced it.
Back Cover: A 4" slanted crease at the left side and some tape holds together where the Cover was ripped. There was more taping, here-and-there on the book but I removed everything I could and glued what should have been originally glued, rather than using tape. The book would have been better without this taping.
In General: The first page is price clipped at the top corner (extending inward 1") and the inside of the Back Cover is beginning to show some Scotch tape bleed, although not very much. The tape has to stay, unfortunaely, as it can't be removed without damaging the outer Back Cover even though I reglued it on the inside. The pages are slightly rolled in a triangular area at the bottom (about 1¾" high x the book width). Lastly, Page 23 is torn at the right side (about 1¾").
Story: Mutants have evolved and threaten the Universe's stability. 003852
