4 Clarke, Arthur C. Childhood's End
U.S. Ballantine Books, Inc. 1953 #33. First Ballantine Book Edition Mass Market Paperback. Fine Plus.
U.S. #33. $.35 is the original price. Tight binding. Darker beige paper. 216 pages which also includes a lengthy Biography of the Arthur plus a page of advertising.

In General:The pages have a ¼" bend at the top, right corner from the way the book was packed in the box. The paper doesn't seem to have stood the test of Time as well as some of the other paperbacks possibly because this paper seems to be a slight bit coarser/ thicker. Hard to say. The glue is showing its age at the beginning and end of the book with the little sounds it makes when opening the book but I sometimes sound the same way with age.
