1 Zweig, Arnold Arnold Zweig Presents the Living Thoughts of Spinoza
U.S. Fawcett Pub., Inc. 1959 #d76. First Premier Bk. Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Good. Water Touched.
U.S. #d76. $.50 is the original price. Tight binding, but opens easily between pages 72-73. 128 pages. Medium beige paper.
Front Cover: Another Cover stuck to this one. I managed to remove it but it also removed some small bits of Cover surface, mostly at the right third of the Cover. (See: Cover Scan).
Spine: A light wrinkle/crease from book opening.
Back Cover: A gentle roll to the left side (extending inward 1/4").
In General: There's pale pink colour bleed around the edges of the pages, mostly about 1/4" deep. The insides of both Covers have the most but even these are only about 1/2" deep at most. The right sides of the pages have a gentle rolling (extending inward 1/4"). Where the book easily opens is a bit of darker beige as water probably dried here. A few pages after these have a 3" curved crease at the Spine side, but it's nothing much.
Story: Spinoza was probably more religious than the religious, but in his own way. A good book to read and Zweig is a good Author. 003235

2 Zweig, Arnold Arnold Zweig Presents the Living Thoughts of Spinoza
U.S. A Premier Book (Fawcett). 1979 First Premier (Fawcett) Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good Plus.
June, 1959. $.50 is the original price. Tight bnding. Medium beige paper. 125 pages. Red colour on the edges.
Front Cover: Some smallish indents and a couple of fingernail indents/marks, but they're nothing much.
Spine: 3-4 manufacturing lines.
Back Cover: A light 4" vertical wrinkle/crease at the right edge, bottom, and a 1" crease at the top, right side. One fingernail indent.
Story: An Introduction to Spinoza's philosophical thoughts. Such people helped to evolve our thinking from primitive worldy concepts to a more modernistic outlook, often having to go against established Authority whose attitude has always been not to rock the boat, especially when they're comfortable. 003507

3 Zweig, Arnold Case of Sergeant Grischa, The (Orig.: Der Streit den Sergeanten Grischa).
U.S. Grosset and Dunlap. 1929 Fourth Grosset and Dunlap Edition. Hard Cover. About Good. Water Touched.
January, 1929. 449 pages. Black binding with yellow design and printing on the Cover and Spine. $.35 is the original price. Tight binding. Original colour paper with a slight darkening at the edges (1" at the top and bottom, ½" at the right side). Yellow colour is mostly still left at the top edge. The right and bottom edges are rough - cut. Translator: Sutton, Eric. Tight binding.
In General: Water touched around the book leaving an oval in the middle (3" wide x 5" high) untouched. The pages are a bit stiff because of water and there's a very faint smidgen of ink bleed at the top edge on some of the pages. There are a few glue spots showing on the insides of both Covers and the original Library paper is still glued to the first page, albeit upside down. Apparently the book was only taken out once, in 1935. Pity.
Story: Based on a true story. In World War 1 a Russian prisoner escapes and is recaptured and sentenced to death for escaping. Zweig is a good Author and I recommend him. 001869
