Canada. #345-02204-1. February, 1973. $.95 is the original price. 217 pages, plus a short Biography of the Author at the back of the book. Tight binding, but opens a bit easily between pages 74-75. Light medium beige paper, ever so slightly beginning to turn a bit darker. Orange colour on the edging, slightly lighter at the top edge. Cover Art: Adams, Tom.
Front Cover: A faint wrinkle/crease line from book opening is by the Spine. A slight upturn is at the top edge (1/16" wide x 3" long) where another book probably pressed on this one. Very small bits of edge wear are at the bottom edge in two places.
Spine: Two manufacturing marks down the middle.
Back Cover: Both corners have very small (1/8") upturns.
Story: Philip Marlowe, Private Eye, has to find out what happened to a woman who's disappeared. The book was made into a good movie. A nice, if unusual, Cover design. 001246

U.S. #F-133. 1961 (Rim of Space) and 1962 (Secret Agent) are the latest Copyright dates which are mentioned. $.40 is the original price. 128 pages, plus a page of book advertising (Rim of Space) and 127 pages (Secret Agent). Still reasonably tight binding despite water touching the book. Mostly light tan paper.
Front Cover (Rim of Space): A 1 1/2" verticle wrinkle/crease from book opening is beside the right edge, plus there's a 1" indent at the middle, beside the right edge. The bottom of the book has a straight line indent (1/2" from the bottom edge) where another book pressed on top of this one. There's a 1/4" impression at the top third, Spine side, and the Cover has a very gentle roll.
Front Cover: (Secret Agent): Mostly still covered by the remains of another Cover. It's stuck too tightly for me to try removing it.
In General: Rim of Space has an indent at the bottom half plus there's some gentle rolling at the right edge.
In General: Secret Agent: The first page is dark tan at the right edge. Toward the middle of both books, from about page 120+, the paper is a darker tan probably where water dried.
Story: Rim of Space - Thud and blunder about The Rim Worlds, written by a top Author.
Story: Secret Agent - Good, versus nastiness and greed. 001556
