$1.(?)35 is the original price. 1965 is the only Copyright date stated. 384 pages. Medium beige paper, verging on a light tan. Tight binding. Front Cover: Triangular corner creases and a couple of long wrinkle/creases, from the upper right to almost the lower left corner. The Cover's still good, but it's been handled. Some edge wear at the edges. A name in ball point is at the top at the middle of the edge. This was covered with transparent tape which has fallen off, leaving it a bit sticky. A small amount of Cover surface went with the tape (1/8" x 1¼"). Spine: Some wrinkle/creases down the middle from book opening. Back Cover: A few wrinkle/creases but it's in much better shape than the Front Cover. In General: Some edge wear along both Covers and Spine edges. Story: This book was based on Capote's interviews with one of the killers who was to be executed for murdering the Clutter farm family. From what I gather from reading other sources, and on T.V., Capote was the supreme opportunist. He fought to keep the killer alive so he could get the story then wanted to see him executed so he would have a nice ending for his story. A good Author, but very, very cynical. Shame on you, wherever you now are.
