$.35 is the original price. 236 pages, including a two page explanation of Capek's work, at the back of the book. Tight binding. Medium beige paper.
Front Cover: 4 vertical creases are beside the right edge and there are three small spots at the bottom edge where pieces of Cover are missing (1/8" x 1/2", and 1/8").
Spine: Torn, at the middle, but I repaired it with Library glue. There's also some edge wear along the edges.
Back Cover: Most of the bottom 2" of Cover surface is missing, being stuck to another Cover. There's a very small bit of edge wear at the bottom edge, but it's minor.
In General: Some pages, between 83-104 have a triangular crimped bottom, right corner (extending inward 1/2"). Only a few pages are like this, but the rest have an indent transferred onto them from it. The last dozen pages, at the back, have a small, 1/16" bottom, right corner crease. The edges of the pages, at the right, have soft rolling (extending inward 1/4"), and from about pages 76-120 there's a rippling, from water, at the interior Spine side, extending outward around 3".
Story: Newts invade Earth. The book was actually Capek's version of a Nazi threat to his native country, Czechoslovakia, written before Hitler actually invaded the small, peaceful country.
