The Penguin New Writing - Volume 2., Editor: Lehmann, John.
1 Editor: Lehmann, John. The Penguin New Writing - Volume 2.
U.K. Penguin Books (Allen Lane). No ID Number. First Penguin Books Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good Plus.
January, 1941. 141 pages which contains a two page Bibliography of the Authors and some Advertising. Tight binding. Medium beige paper as the book was printed during the war and England probably had a difficult time in obtaining good newsprint for books at this time.
Front Cover: Some light wear's at the edges but it's reasonable.
Spine: Wear at the edges.
Back Cover: Wear at the Spine side and bottom edge, but not too much.
In General: The first page has a small mark at the bottom and pages from about the ninty-five plus area have creased bottom corner(s) and the marks are carried through for several pages. Nothing much, really.
Story: A collection of fifteen short Stories and Articles. Even though the Brits were getting the hell bombed out of them by the Nazis civilized Literature and life has to continue, unlike the Nazi type of "living" and their SS., et al. 004681

Sin and Science, Carter, Dyson
2 Carter, Dyson Sin and Science
Canada, Progress Books. First Progress Books Edition. Mass Market Lg. 5" x 7" Pbk Good.
$.25 is the original price. 124 pages plus Sources and some Advertising. Slightly darker beige paper. Mostly a tight binding.
In General: I placed some white Invisible Mending tape on the Cover tears as I discovered that this tape's close to what's used in Libraries and it doesn't stain colour and drop off after a few years. I also put a little bit of glue on the Spine side to hold the Covers down. The book looks rather nice now as it was only so so before I repaired it.
Story: Fourteen short Articles about questions various Readers were curious about. Computers were't around then. 005015

$.50 is the original price. 159 pages which includes a short Bibliography. Tight binding. Light beige paper. Orange colour on the edges.
Front Cover: Handling marks and some scratches are at the lower right side.
Spine: A crease from book opening and small wrinkles from being touched by water.
Back Cover: A 1" corner crease's at the top left and some light edge wear's on the blue part of the Cover.
In General: An old Bookstore name's stamped on the inside of the Front Cover.
Story: Eleven short Stories and some News Reports written by Stephen Crane. I never knew that he was only twenty-eight when he died. Always a pity when a good Writer dies so young. 004499
